"STANDARDS OF PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS. Improving public consultations regarding legal regulations and establishing public policies in Mszczonów Community"
The project "STANDARDS OF PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS. Improving public consultations regarding legal regulations and establishing public policies in Mszczonów Community" is aimed at improving public consultations regarding legal regulations and establishing public policies through enhancing participation of NGOs in consultations of public policies by elaborating "Standards of consultations" in cooperation with public authorities in Mszczonów Community.
The project will be realized in a partnership between Mszczonów Community / The Community Information Centre and Foundation "Institute for Private Enterprise and Democracy".
AIMS OF THE PROJECT:
The general aim of the project - improving public consultations regarding legal regulations and establishing public policies through enhancing participation of NGOs in consultations of public policies by elaborating "Standards of consultations" in cooperation with public authorities in Mszczonów Community - will be achieved through realization the following specific aims:
- putting in order ways of NGOs' participation in the process of public consultations and improving transparency of legislative process by public authorities through elaboration and dissemination of "Standards of consultations" among representatives of NGOs and public administration,
- improving NGOs' knowledge in the field of preparing professional opinions on public policies and public administration representatives' knowledge about preparing and running effective public policies in Mszczonów community,
- ensuring participation of NGOs' representatives and citizens in consultations of public policies by using "Standards of consultations" in the process of public consultations implemented in Mszczonów community.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:
Following activities will be realized within the project:
- running a public opinion survey, diagnosis of needs and expectations among NGOs and inhabitants of Mszczonów community in the field of public consultations,
- elaborating STANDARDS OF PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS,
- training for public administration and NGOs' representatives in the field of techniques and tools of public consultations,
- realizing process of public consultations using appropriate techniques and tools of consultations,
- evaluation of public consultations and mainstreaming of results of the consultation process.
